Equine Local Anaesthetics - Buy Mepivacaine, Lidocaine, Sarapin
Many minor surgical procedures in equines are carried out using a combination of local anaesthesia and sedation. These include relatively minor procedures such as tooth-rasping and stitching of wounds, to more complex processes such as castration.
Mepivacaine is a versatile and effective local equine anaesthetic. Mepivacaine Hydrochloride is a potent drug that enjoys a prolonged duration of action. It is suitable for a range of applications, including epidural and intra-articular injections, and is ‘adrenaline free’ thereby minimising the risk of adverse reactions. Lidocaine is a common local anaestetic drug. Lidocaine is used topically to relieve itching, burning and pain from skin inflammations, injected as a local anesthetic for nerve blocks, and in minor surgery. Sarapin contain extract from pitcher plant. The painful syndromes most commonly encountered in general practice which are relieved by sarapin treatment are as follows: Sciatic Pain, Intercostal Neuralgia, Alcoholic Neuritis, Occipital Neuritis, Brachial Plexus Neuralgia, Meralgia Paresthetica, Lumbar Neuralgia, Trigeminal Neuralgia. Another interresting local anaestetic is ammonium sulphate. Combined with Sarapin it gives a product called Triple Block. |
